The obesity is the real culprit these days. And, the junk food and the not so appropriate lifestyle bring obesity in a person. These days, people don't have much time to attend the regular workout sessions to shed the extra fat from their bodies. At that time, when you feel helpless regarding your weight; the medical world steps in to do the required magic.
Liposuction is a medical procedure that removes fat from your body and changes the contour of your body altogether. With the help of this procedure, you can get the excessive fat removed from the areas like –abdomen, back of the arms, thighs, and buttocks. You will be given general, regional, or local anesthesia to perform this surgery. And then, the fat will be sucked out of your body via a cannula (a hollow tube).
With the transformations in the techniques of the liposuction over the time, the procedure has become less uncomfortable, more safe, easy & effective.
Types
Suction-assisted Liposuction:
It is the standard technique of liposuction. In this method, a small cannula will be inserted into your body through a small incision. Then, it will be connected with a vacuum device, which will break the fat cells and suck the fat out of your body.
Ultrasound-assisted Liposuction:
In this technique, the specialized cannula is used that sends ultrasound vibrations in your body. The vibrations burst the fat cells and liquefy the fat, which in turn makes it easier to suck the fat out.
Power-assisted Liposuction:
It is quite similar to the standard Suction-assisted Liposuction. But, the only difference is that the most of the moment is done by the mechanized cannula instead of the surgeon.
Other Methods:
There are some of the other methods as well, like-
• Twin-cannula liposuction
• External ultrasound-assisted liposuction
• Water-assisted liposuction
• Laser assisted
• Tumescent technique
Recovery
The recovery process mainly depends on the technique that you have used for the liposuction. Generally, a person can recover within the time period of 2 days to 2 weeks.
